We had a pre christmas break at the Riad Djebel which was perfect for our needs. The staff were excellent and very helpful, location was great, hotel was comfortable and clean.
Everything was perfect! We had a marvellous stay in this fantastic riad. The food, the staff and the two very helpful owners made our time I Marrakech so nice an comfortable. We will highly recommend this riad!
Excellent location and very helpful owners and staff.Very clean all round and very helpful in finding locations to visit and organising..
Would suggest eating out as limited eating in in evenings and my meal was reheated chicken that was not hot enough and then violently ill which is very rare for me.
Riad Djebel is a priceless haven of serenity in the heart of the bustle of Marrakech. It is ran by a very charming and hospital man named Miguel and you are made to feel very at home and very looked after, immediately. The accommodation is spotless, traditional and lovely. The food/service and attention from the staff is impeccable. You can eat your food on the roof, which is lovely for breakfast in the morning sun. A perfect place to stay, close to all the activity, yet you can hear a pin drop when inside, and hide in this oasis of calm when it all gets too much!
The beautifully designed riad, the welcoming staff, and the shopping and cooking experience with the riad's cook.
Very friendly and helpful owner who took good care of us. Nice and quite place a short walk from the busy market.
The owners live elsewhere but visit the riad several times each day. Their advice on the city, trips to Sahara, Morocco etc has been invaluable. There is a great deck with views over the city. The staff is fantastic - they clearly are happy doing what they're doing, and well compensated. I also liked the location, which is off the beaten path in the old medina.
Fantastic hospitality - wonderful hosts and staff. Clean, friendly and tasteful accommodation and staff are very knowledgeable about the area. Arranged transport from the airport and back - had supper waiting for us (lovely home cooked meal). Our host provided a good map plus a guided tour so we could locate key points & not get lost in the Medina. The Riad can arrange for massages and taxi's and the building is charming!
Riad Djebel was close to the main square and within walking distance of the main tourist sights. The riad was clean, secure and quiet. The owners were very helpful as were the staff. The rooms opened onto a central courtyard which allowed for a breeze. There was AC if required.WiFi also worked well
The plastic underlay on the bed. It made the bed hot and uncomfortable, and it made a noise every time I moved. It reminded me of a hospital bed.
The rooms were very nice, and location great for exploring the Medina. The staff were very friendly giving us some good tips on where to go in Morocco, and helped us park our car in the nearby parking place. A big thanks, we throughly enjoyed our stay.
the owners were very nice and helpful
I prefer air conditioning..I did get a fan but a very small one that really is a heater but had a fan position. The window, about 12 foot high was opened, had no screen so little bugs joined me and shared my room. I had booked 3 nights but left after one.
You will be welcomed at this riad with tea and biscuits but more importantly it is the first riad we have stayed at in Morocco where the owner personally walks you around the Medina and shows you where to go. The hospitality of the owner Miguel was faultless. He even went out of his way to help us to organize our Sahara adventure and our plane tickets when leaving Marrakesh. The service too at Djebel is perfect, Mustafa was there to help us with whatever we needed. The hotel is perfectly clean and new and the beds are soft (unlike many riads in morocco). Stay here and you will not be disappointed!
We had à wonderful time in hotel Riad. Philip did very much effect to give us directions in the medina and even walked with us to the restaurant the first evening and square the next day, super! Breakfest was very good and the room very clean and beautiful. The shuttlebus service is à good idea when you arrive.
The staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. We were welcomed with delicious hot mint tea and pastries. Sylvain walked us to the square the first day to make sure we didn't get lost, he arranged an excursion to the mountains for us, recommended several very good restaurants and spas, and he told us what we should expect to pay for certain items in the souks. On our last day, Sylvain even went to the market to buy a tagine for us because we were running late leaving for the airport. The daily breakfast was very nice, and the staff were very flexible to serve it to us even when we woke up after breakfast time. Riad Djebel was very clean, quiet, and had free wifi.
We stayed at two Riads (at the same price point) in the Medina during our trip and our experience at Riad Djebel was far superior. The Riad offered a quiet and relaxing atmosphere just a short walk away from the chaotic streets of the old city. The service by each member of the staff exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Attention to detail and the cleanliness were superb. I would recommend using their airport transfer service, otherwise the Riad will be difficult to find on your own.
